+A bit of random rambles today. So I started working on a new task, much similar to the previous one, where I need to remove a deployment flag. This one is slightly different in the sense that it's being referenced almost everywhere, so there is a lot of code searching and removing whilst ensuring things are still happy.
+
+I hit a few hiccups along the way, mainly to do with how integration tests are run in the TMC system, but that's all sorted now Alhamdulillah.
+
+There are some other things I wanted to get out of my head, but I think I'll save that for another day In'sha'Allah.

+As I am changing teams effective <2026-04-07 Tue>, I thought it's a good idea to lay down the ground work for what will change. Toblerone and Shackleton differ in one main aspect: Shackleton is a much more extroverted team.
+
+Standups are also longer than Toblerone, lasting half an hour instead of 15 minutes.
+
+They do refinements on Mondays (10-11), and Wednesdays (13-14). Sprint planning occurs on Tuesdays from 13-14.

+I heard this phrase a lot growing up, but it never resonated with me until recently (well, last night). I don't even use social media, so it wasn't an online comparison. Rather, it occured when I spoke to someone in person.
+
+One thing I always have to remember is that everyone is on their own path in life, and I shouldn't compare my chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 10. I have to remember that everyone has their own struggles and challenges, and just because someone else seems to have it all together doesn't mean they do.
+
+It's easier said than done, but I need to focus on the carved out path that I have for myself and not worry about what others are doing. The goal is Jannah.

+This week wasn't the best with sleep and energy. I had a bad tendency of staying awake late and waking up late, and also napping for a bit after 4pm. This is a bad habit of mine which transpired this week, need to break it before it sets.
+
+On other news, I was thinking of getting a whiteboard to put up on the wall, so I can jot down ideas and thoughts. The lighting on the desk could also do with a bit of improvement, maybe a lamp or something.

+Joining a new team is very scary. I got added to the Shackleton team channel, and can see how active they are (more in comparison to my previous team).

+Scary to say the least. Change is scary. But I do want to learn, and I realised that being able to contribute to things is a really nice feeling.

+Today is the first day in the new team (Shackleton). The good thing Alhamdulillah is that I've been given some work to do already. I have to find instances of two deployment flags, and turn them off. The work itself was okay, just using AZDO to find instances of ~DeliverySearchInitialLoad~ and ~ConsignmentInitialLoad~, and effectively removing the code that relies on it being turned on/off. As of writing this, I've made a PR for the ~DeliverySearchInitialLoad~ flag, and I'm about to start on the ~ConsignmentInitialLoad~ flag. I hope to finish it by tomorrow In'sha'Allah. The part that takes a while is the testing, as getting the consignments in the database is a pain to do through the UI.

+Update (idk why I'm saying this, it's only been half an hour): I started the ~ConsignmentInitialLoad~ flag, and it doesn't seem too bad, I've got the controller class changes, and all that is left is the test class, and the actual testing (plus the SQL removal scripts). +We also had a meeting on ESS deployments, I need to read up on the documentation, and the other links, as well as the video recording with team Ludo. Quite a lot to do, but definitely a good opportunity to do YAML pipelines, and learn about the deployment process. I also need to get familiar with the new team, and the work they do, as well as the codebase. I'm sure it will be a good learning experience, and I'm looking forward to it In'sha'Allah.
