The blue bowl

I left the small blue bowl on the counter because it still smells faintly of coriander and Sunday. If anyone asks, it was never lost. It was waiting for someone to remember soup.

Under the bowl is a folded receipt. On the back, in pencil: "Morrow came by at 2:13. He said the hallway was kinder than last year."
