Comparison is the thief of joy
I heard this phrase a lot growing up, but it never resonated with me until recently (well, last night). I don't even use social media, so it wasn't an online comparison. Rather, it occured when I spoke to someone in person.
One thing I always have to remember is that everyone is on their own path in life, and I shouldn't compare my chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 10. I have to remember that everyone has their own struggles and challenges, and just because someone else seems to have it all together doesn't mean they do.
It's easier said than done, but I need to focus on the carved out path that I have for myself and not worry about what others are doing. The goal is Jannah.
